It is with a heavy heart that the Township of Tiny announces that this year’s Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament and Dinner, scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2020, has been cancelled.
After careful consideration, the Township has made the difficult decision to cancel the fundraising event to protect the health and wellbeing of our community members and to recognize the financial hardships being endured by local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each year, funds are raised primarily through event sponsorship by businesses and donors. Given the ever-evolving pandemic, the Township wishes to alleviate the financial burden that a sponsorship commitment may place on businesses and donors during these unprecedented times.
In an effort to continue our support for local charities, the organizing committee will be investigating alternative fundraising options for later this year. To be notified about future updates, please contact the Golf Tournament staff resource listed below.
