Midland extends facility closures

Essential services will not be interrupted by these closure extensions

NEWS RELEASE
THE TOWN OF MIDLAND

With the Ontario Government’s recent extension of the Emergency Declaration, the Town of Midland is announcing that the closure of town facilities has been extended until at least April 14, 2020.

Facilities Impacted 

  • Town Hall – employees continue to work remotely, with some essential services provided by appointment only. 
  • NSSRC – full refunds for cancelled bookings will be provided once centre is fully reopened.  
  • Fire Department – Closed to public tours, inspections done on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment Centre – Closed to public.

Essential services such as Policing, Fire Services and Water/Wastewater Services will not be interrupted by these closure extensions.

In addition, the following community facilities are also remaining closed:  

  • Midland Public Library – Closed until further notice.  
  • Askennonia Seniors Centre – Closed until further notice.  
  • Boys & Girls Club of North Simcoe – Closed until further notice.  
  • YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka – Closed until further notice.  
  • Midland Cultural Centre – Closed until at least early May. (rolling week-to-week closure)
