NEWS RELEASE

Keeping in line with provincial restrictions for recreation and outdoor amenities, the Town of Midland has announced that the town dock, marina and boat launch at Pete Pettersen Park will remain closed until further notice.

“These amenities have been closed for the winter, however given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to keep them closed until further notice,” said Andy Campbell, Executive Director of Environment & Infrastructure. “These closures will help ensure there are less opportunities for residents/visitors to gather and risk spreading the virus or incur fines.”

In the event the town dock and marina aren’t open by May 1, Seasonal Dockage Contracts will be prorated once we do open, to properly reflect the start of the 2020 dockage season. For more information please contact Trista at 705-526-9395 ext. 3202 or [email protected].

The Town of Midland will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates on the Town of Midland website at Midland.ca, and we encourage residents to follow our social media channels for updates as well, @MidlandON on Twitter, and @townofmidland on Facebook.
