Every spring crews start the Winter Sand Removal program. This yearly maintenance is essential in keeping our roads, sidewalks, parking lots and other areas safe and clear from dust and debris.
The program takes place in the early spring and runs until the end of May. Overnight sand removal operations may take place in areas where there are numerous pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, vehicles and on-street parking during daylight hours. We understand that extra noise at night can be a concern and we apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Winter sand removal at night has concluded, sand removal will continue during the day with two Crews working towards each other from the East and West of Town. Weekly schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.
