Mid-Pen Transit Midland South Route - Detour and Service Interruptions
What is affected: Midland South Route, service to and from the Walmart Plaza.
Why: Repaving of the Walmart parking lot.
When: Starting Tuesday, September 26, 2023 to Monday, November 6, 2023.
Service Interruptions:
- From September 26, 2023 - October 23, 2023: Riders will utilize the Temporary Bus Stop located on the detour map.
- From October 24, 2023 - October 30, 2023: There will be no service to the Walmart plaza. The bus will turn left from Highway 12 onto Jones Road. Riders can get off on the nearest stop, which is on Jones Road at the LCBO/No Frills Plaza.
- From October 31 2023 - November 6, 2023: Riders will utilize the Temporary Bus Stop located on the detour map.
Will there be a new bus stop?
There will be a temporary bus stop located outside and on the side of the Brick, marked here on the detour map.
Why is this happening?
The Walmart plaza is being repaved and we need to relocate the bus stop while the construction is going on.
When will there be no service to the plaza?
From Oct 24 to Oct 30, 2023 there will be no service to the Walmart plaza. The bus will turn left from Highway 12 onto Jones Road. Riders can get off on the nearest stop, which is on Jones Road at the LCBO/No Frills Plaza. Plan your route here.
Can I still use the bus shelter?
There will be ongoing construction through September 26 to November 6, 2023. The shelter may not be accessible at times, therefore riders must use the temporary bus stop.
