What are we doing?
The Town will charge a convenience fee of 2.4 per cent to credit card payments for transactions in the following categories:
• Invoices greater than $3,000
• Development Application fees
• Building Permits
• Property Tax Bill payments
• Water and Wastewater Bill payments
Why are we doing this?
The Town is charged fees by credit card companies when customers make payments by credit card. Adding this ‘convenience’ fee to credit card payments recovers these additional costs incurred by the Town. No profit is made by the Town from these fees.
Customers who prefer to pay by cash, cheque, debit, or through online banking options will not be charged this fee.
