A violent offender known to frequent the Midland area has been apprehended in Oshawa.
Allanah Wood-Beers, who had been unlawfully at large since Oct. 2, was located and arrested by Durham Regional Police Service.
On Thursday, the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad issue issued a Canada-wide warrant for the 33-year-old woman after breaching her statutory release.
Wood-Beers, who has several convictions, including robbery with violence and assault with a weapon, was known to frequent the Midland, Orillia and Barrie areas, according to the ROPE squad.
She is currently serving a two-year, four-month and 13-day sentence for robbery with violence, assault with a weapon, assault-intentional use of force, aggravated assault and fail to comply with probation order.
