A traffic stop Wednesday in Victoria Harbour has led to numerous charges being laid against a Woodbridge man.

At about 8:45 p.m., a Southern Georgian Bay OPP officer equipped with automatic licence plate recognition technology was patrolling on William Street and pulled over a driver for possibly being suspended.

Michael Lacroix, 36, was charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine), driving while under suspension, driving a commercial motor vehicle with no licence, driving a motor vehicle with no currently validated permit, possessing more than one licence, having a colour coating obscuring the interior, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

The accused was released from custody and has a May 23 court date.
