Passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, in her 101st year, in Midland, Ontario.
Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert Brian Templeton (d. 2012), her parents Harold and Louise Perry, sister Norma, brothers Peter and Charles, and daughter Nancy (d. 1984). Survived by her dear children; Koteah, David, John, and Robert, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Joyce had a fulfilling life of family, home and travel. She especially loved their waterfront home in Midland, sailing and boating on Georgian Bay. Her working life began at a lumber yard during the 40’s and after taking about 20 years off to have a family,
she became a social worker at Warrandale Homes in Etobicoke, Thistletown Regional Centre, and finally retired from her position of Volunteer Coordinator at Oak Ridges in Penetanguishene. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Villa Care Centre and King Place Retirement in Midland for such exceptional care over the last 10 years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
