1944 - 2024
John Arnold Hutchinson passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. John was 79.
John leaves behind his wife and best friend June, his son Chris, daughter-in-law Shelley and grandchildren Nathan and Kailyn. He is survived by his brother Ron and Linda Hutchinson and his sister Donna and Gary Robb. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Brenda Watt (Doug), Gail Desrochers, Debby Hamelin (John Edwards), and Laurie Quesnelle (Pete), and brother-in-law Dan Hamelin (Shelly). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
John started his career at Nortel Networks in Belleville, where he and his family lived, then transferred to Brampton in 1964. His career spanned over many different levels in the corporation over a period of 41 years. When John and June retired they relocated to Penetanguishene to be closer to family. They made many friends at their neighbourhood clubhouse in Park Place, and were active members at the Probus Club of North Simcoe.
There will be no service but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of John can be made to Cerebral Palsy or the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
