Terry Dubeau, affectionately known as the "Hip", passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family at Mount Sinai Hospital.
He was a proud family man and a great friend to all who knew him. Terry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jane Dubeau, his children Melissa Barker (Sean) and Matthew Dubeau (Erin), step-children Sean Boudreault and Benjamin Boudreault (Diana), and cherished grandchildren Zachary and Jacob Barker and Benny Boudreault. He is also survived by his brothers John, Brian and James Dubeau. Predeceased by his parents Laval and Marie Dubeau, and his siblings Michael and Judy Dubeau.
Terry was a very well-known member of the community, from buses to boats, and his commitments with serving the Knights of Columbus and his time as a volunteer fireman serving Penetanguishene Fire Department for over 30 years. Terry had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and he always had a smile on his face. He was always good for a great one-liner.
Terry will be greatly missed and will be fondly remembered by his friends and family.
Family and friends will be received at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Thursday November 16th from times 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday November 17th at St. Anns Church starting at 2 p.m. Following the service all guests are invited to join the family for a reception at the Penetanguishene Legion. If desired, donations in memory of Terry may be made to the Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame.
