Jack, born on March 2, 1952, left this world on November 9, 2023. He was a devoted husband to his soulmate, Judy, a loving father to Caitlyn, a caring father-in-law to Geoff, and a cherished Poppa to Jack and Elle.

Jack was a man deeply connected to his roots, a proud Ojibway who navigated the challenges of the Sixties Scoop with resilience and strength. Despite the hardships, he dedicated his life to building a loving and supportive family.

A true steward of the environment, Jack passionately advocated for the well-being of the Earth. His commitment to sustainability and community involvement was evident in his active role as Deputy Mayor. Jack believed in the power of collective action and worked tirelessly to make a positive impact on the world around him.

In addition to his advocacy, Jack was a hardworking provider for his family. He believed in the importance of cherishing life's moments and ensuring his family had opportunities to create lasting memories. His dedication was reflected in the choice to prioritize family vacations, the installation of a pool for joyous gatherings, and the purchase of a boat that symbolized the shared adventures they embraced together.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated individuals who provided care for Jack in his final moments. Special thanks to the Midland fire department and Chief Renaud, Simcoe County paramedics, and the compassionate care from Dr. Beeston and the nurses at Georgian Bay General Hospital. Your skill, professionalism, and kindness during a difficult time were deeply appreciated. Extra special thanks to Mayor Bill Gordon and Donna for their tremendous support, as well as Blair Randolph from Askennonia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 17th at the Quality Inn ballroom in Midland from 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Askennonia Senior Centre or The Georgian Bay Aspiring Geopark. Arrangements entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre

May Jack rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he shared so generously during his time with us.
