Katherine “Kathy” Burns was a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left this world on Sunday, November 12th, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Cancer at the age of 66. Kathy was born on November 3rd, 1957 in Orillia, Ontario to the late Audrey and Nelson Denault. She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her son Aaron, husband Chris, and sisters Judy and Sherry. Kathy will be dearly missed by extended family and friends.
Kathy grew up in Orillia and lived most of her life in Penetanguishene where she worked as an insurance broker for over 25 years at Mink Insurance. She loved boating, cycling, reading, spending time with her friends and loved ones – and of course the occasional adult beverage.
Visitation will take place at Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Saturday November 18th, 2023 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. A funeral service will start at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in Spring 2024.
