The following letter from former resident Marlene Fox is in response to story titled 'Midland council cycling through options over bike-lane report.'

As a former Midland resident, my walk from College St. to the current high school (1950's) on Yonge St. is well remembered for four times a day as we went home for lunch.

I very much like the current situation of Yonge with a turn lane. Today young drivers seem so impatient here in Toledo, OH as they probably are everywhere. Example: passing me on a 2 lane with turn lane when I'm turning right.

Here we only have lines designating Bike Lanes so am impressed you have other protections. Sidewalks are not the place for bikes. That's what I remember the most, was walking everywhere. Good luck with the town's decision.

Marlene Fox,
Toledo, OH,
