Collisions happened late Wednesday morning

The officers located a suspect vehicle on Norene Street and upon speaking with the driver entered into an impaired driving investigation.

Later in the day at 11:09 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 12 and Talbot Street in Tay Township. Investigators spoke with the lone occupant of the involved vehicle and entered into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Courtney Cunningham, 32, of Tay Township has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol) and operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus).

Both accused persons were released from custody on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 14 and also face a driver’s licence suspension of 90 days and their vehicles were towed and impounded for seven days as per the Ministry of Transportation guidelines.
