Tay Township man charged in Midland break and enters

MIDLAND, ON - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were recently dispatched to reports of residential break and enter incidents on March 7, 2020, at a Frederick Street home and also on March 9, 2020, at a Sixth Street home both in the Town of Midland.

OPP investigators were able to identify a suspect and with the assistance of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) did arrest the suspect at a Yonge Street Midland motel on March 20, 2020.

Charged is Jamie Paul Dube, 39 years, of Victoria Harbour, Tay Township with the following offences.

  • Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a future date.
