Snowmobile operator, 65, seriously injured in crash: OPP

A snowmobiler suffered serious injuries in a collision Friday near Milford Bay in Muskoka Lakes Township.

The 65-year-old driver was transported to a local hospital shortly after the single-vehicle crash that occurred on Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. He was later transported to a Toronto trauma centre for further treatment.

Police say the operator suffered serious injuries but is currently in stable condition. There was nobody else involved in the crash.

Members of the Bracebridge OPP are investigating the incident with assistance from the OPP Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team including collision reconstructionists.
