GRAVENHURST – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to an incident on Bethune Drive near Violet Street in Gravenhurst, Ont. on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 8:10 p.m. involving a transport truck and a pedestrian. The pedestrian mounted the transport truck and a confrontation ensued that resulted in the man falling as the truck was put into motion.
As a result of the investigation Travis Shelton from Severn Township was charged with:
- Dangerous operation causing Bodily Harm CCC Sec 320.13(2); and
- Failure to stop after accident CCC Sec 320.16(1).
Shelton is scheduled for a bail hearing on July 29, 2021.
