Police seek local youth reported overdue (updated: found safe)

The overdue youth has been located and is safe. Members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police wish to thank the public for their support anytime they are attempting to locate a member of the pubic who is in need.

Original Aug. 4 OPP news release:
Members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police would like to share their concerns for a youth who was reported as overdue by his family.

Nicholas Galway, 11 years old, left a residence this morning between Port McNicoll and Victoria Harbour on his bicycle and has not returned home. Although his actions are not out of character, police would like to ensure his safety.

He is likely using the trail system which connects the communities of Tay Township and the Town of Midland. He is described as 4’7”, 130 pounds, no clothing description (see photo) but he is riding a black bicycle. Please contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 if he is seen.
