September 12 update:

The person to locate was found safe in the Toronto area on September 12, 2022. Investigators wish to thank those in the community who assisted in this investigation.

September 11 release:

Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the assistance of the public to locate a female last observed leaving a Penetanguishene residence and getting into a local cab at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2022.

The person to locate is Maria-Grazia Vitale, 58, of Penetanguishene; she is described as:

  • white female
  • 4'10' tall, thin build
  • brown shoulder length hair
  • brown eyes
  • maybe wearing a floral top

Through investigation, it is felt that she is possibly in the Richmond Hill/Vaughan area. Investigators and family are looking to locate her out of concern for her health and welfare.
