One assaulted after finding unknown people in tent at Ojibway Landing

PENETANGUISHENE - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an alleged assault on Town of Penetanguishene property located off of Robert Street West that was reported to police at 5:42 p.m. May 30, 2021.

Officers spoke to two persons that were illegally camping on Ojibway Landing, one of whom was assaulted after encountering two unknown persons in their tent. The victim was triaged and transported by County of Simcoe Paramedics to Georgian Bay General Hospital for assessment.

Officers are continuing their investigation into this incident.
