New hours at OPP satellite office in Penetanguishene

Southern Georgian Bay OPP has issued the following update to the below news release:

The OPP would like to clarify the staffing and hours of operation of the Penetanguishene satellite office for the community. The Satellite Office hours of operation have only changed regarding providing walk-in administrative service (only) for the public. These new hours effective immediately are 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and civilian administrative staff will be on duty during those hours. Uniform OPP patrol officers continue to provide service to the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Residents are advised to call 911 call for emergencies and those calls for service that are less serious in nature they are to be called into 1-888-310-1122 and are answered by the OPP Communication Centre who dispatch the officers — 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The administration staff of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment would like to update the community on the office hours open for administrative service.

As of July 19, the Penetanguishene satellite office located at the rear of 12 Robert St. W., Penetanguishene, will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday only.

Residents are advised that emergent 911 calls for service and those calls that are less serious in nature called in to 1-888-310-1122 are answered by the OPP Communication Centre, who dispatches the officers to the calls.
