Midland man charged with stunt driving near Bracebridge

Man also facing three other charges has bail hearing today

On Friday, May 15, 2020, at 1 a.m. Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officers were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 11 North in Bracebridge when they observed a vehicle travelling significantly faster than the posted speed limit.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and their investigation revealed that the driver was court-ordered to be in his residence at that time. Police have charged 28-year-old Dustin Hubbard of Midland, ON with the following:

  • Stunt driving HTA 172(1)
  • Driving while under suspension HTA 53(1)
  • Failing to comply with recognizance CC 145(3)
  • Possession of schedule I substance - methamphetamine CDSA 4(1)

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on May 15, 2020, and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
