Midland man among two charged with impaired driving yesterday

Police responded to two separate impaired driving calls

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to two separate suspected impaired driving incidents on June 10, 2021 as a direct result of members of the public "making the call" to police.

8:24 p.m. June 10, 2021 officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Champlain Road at Clearview Crescent, Tiny Township with a possible impaired driver being involved. The driver of the vehicle Andrew Taylor Logan 25 years of Etobicoke was the subject of an drinking and driving investigation resulting in the following Criminal offences:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released on an recognizance to appear before the  Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on June 24, 2021 and is subject to a 90 day licence suspension and vehicle tow/impound under the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.

2:04 p.m. June 10, 2021 officers again responded to a possible impaired driver complaint on Little Lake Park Road, Midland. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver became the subject of a drinking and driving investigation resulting in Tony Miller 56 years of Midland being charged with the following Criminal offences:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an recognizance to appear before the  Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on June 24, 2021 and is subject to a 90 day licence suspension and vehicle tow/impound under the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.
