Midland man accused of stealing crossbow from Canadian Tire

Police say theft occurred Wednesday afternoon

A man is accused of stealing a crossbow from Canadian Tire in Midland.

Store security contacted police shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday after a man was seen leaving the business with a crossbow that had not been paid for.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP attended and recovered the crossbow. The suspect was arrested at a nearby residence.

Christopher Robin MacLeod, 48, of Midland, has been charged with theft under $5,000 (shoplifting). He was released from custody and is set to appear in court June 15.
