Midland man accused of break and enter, theft

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded at 3:57 p.m. May 31, 2021 to a report of a break and enter complaint at a Fourth Street Midland residence.

Through investigation, a suspect was identified and later found and arrested in relation to another incident on June 1, 2021 while being in possession of a number of stolen household items from the residence.

Charged is John Nathan Neal, 34 years, of Midland with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

  • Possession property obtained by crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence

And further

  • Being intoxicated in a public place

Contrary to the Liquor Licence Act

The accused was held for a virtual bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on June 2, 2021 and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a future date.
