Four people in hospital after Tay Township crash

Four people were sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of Hogg Valley Road and Rumney Road in Tay Township.

TAY TOWNSHIP - A motor vehicle collision has sent four people to the hospital, including one person with injuries requiring transport to a Toronto-area hospital via ORNGE air ambulance.

On Feb. 19, just before 6 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with the Tay Township Fire Department and Simcoe County paramedics, attended the intersection of Hogg Valley Road and Rumney Road in Tay Township for a report of a two-vehicle collision. Both involved vehicles left the roadway as a result of the collision; all involved parties were transported to the hospital.

The area around the intersection will be closed for the evening to allow for an investigation of the collision. Please avoid this area in your travels. No charges have been laid at this time.
