Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and their community safety partner - The North Simcoe Safe and Sober Awareness Committee would like to remind vehicle and vessel operators this Victoria Day Holiday Weekend and Canada Road Safety Week to be safe and "never drive impaired."

With lighter traffic on our roadways and waterways officers and committee members are asking drivers to think about changing those risky driving habits such as impaired driving that have bad results as they head to their destinations this weekend.

Police remind motorists that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on our trails, roadways and waterways. Educating the public about safe driving practices is a priority.
