Disturbance complaint leads to arrest for Midland man

Police say the 31-year-old caused a verbal disturbance at a community housing complex

On Sept. 1, 2020 at 9:19 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance complaint at a Yonge Street, Midland community housing complex. Attending OPP officers located a person responsible for the verbal disturbance on the complex property and attempted to escort the person off the property.

The suspect made verbal gestures to the officers in regards to the property and was arrested and removed from the scene to detachment for further investigation.

Charged is Rob Potter, 31 years of Midland, with the following property related offence:

  • Uttering threats - damage property

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody on a recognizance with conditions to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on Dec. 10, 2020
