Charges laid in relation to convenience store robbery

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with a convenience store robbery that occurred in Penetanguishene on March 3.

Jarod Dean, 24, of Penetanguishene, is now facing the following offences, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada: 

  • Robbery with weapon
  • Failing to comply with probation order (two counts)

Dean remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing, police say. He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
