Gerry passed on September 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Village Care Centre, with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas Wright (2016). She was a devoted Mom to Robin Stonier, Jami Waterman (Larry), Christian (Katherine Lewis), John, and Peter (Margaret Ann Gianetto). She was Gramma to Sydney Stonier (Travis McCallum) , Christa Wright (Kenny Ehrlich), Robert Wright, Madeline Wright, Ethan Wright, and Charlie Wright. She was predeceased by her siblings Jean Webb, Pat Harvey (late Don) and Robert Clarridge (Ann) and her in-laws Joyce Lessels (Roy), James Wright (Judy), Bill Wright (late Marilyn) and Richard Wright (late Phyllis). She is survived by her sister-in-law and lifelong friend Judy Wright and many nieces and nephews.
Our Mom came to Midland as a young bride. She and our Dad had a wide circle of friends.
Though shy by nature, she enjoyed all social gatherings, especially if dancing and music were involved. Christmases and Thanksgiving celebrations were a meeting place for all. She alsotraveled with my Dad and enjoyed many adventures. However, our Mom’s major focus throughout her life was on family. We take comfort in our memories, but will miss her always Gerry was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease many years ago and while she was brave and very stoic, the disease eventually took her mobility and her voice. We are grateful that she is no longer suffering the ravages of that disease. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff(particularly the staff on Georgian) at Hillcrest Village Care Centre for the excellent and personal care provided to our Mom over the last seven years.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
