March 13, 1932 ~ January 20, 2021 (age 88)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Widdes on January 20, 2021 at the age of 88. Earl is survived by his beloved Arvilla and children Gord (Pat), Deb (Art), Karen (Rob). Much loved Grampa to his five wonderful grandchildren and their spouses and Great-Grampa to four beautiful great-grandchildren. Born and raised on a dairy farm just outside of Midland, Ontario, the farm was always in his heart. Earl loved to hunt, fish and snowmobile. He also played baseball, hockey and golfed whenever possible. Despite our grief, we celebrate a very memorable character (to say the least). Earl led a very spirited life and his sense of humour and quick wit were infectious and endearing and will provide family and friends with many treasured stories and memories always. Cremation has taken place and a small private celebration will take place when it is safe to do so. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated
