10-Apr-1943 - 30-Jun-2022

It is with very heavy hearts, that the family of Donald Spring announces his passing on June 30th, 2022 at the age of 79. He was surrounded by family, and had the love and prayers of everyone who cared for him deeply. Don will be forever remembered by his wife of 54 years Rosemary, daughters Kathy (Dwayne), Melissa (Yves) and Sarah (Jeremy), sisters Joyce (Paul), Anne and grandsons Dalton and Landon. He was also very excited to recently hear the news that he had a granddaughter on the way.

Don was a dedicated worker and employee of Kindred Industries for 40 years. He was incredibly talented and enjoyed horseshoes, bowling and cards. He had many other interests including wrestling, fishing, collecting antiques and travelling. A large part of his life was spent camping. His favorite place to camp was at Algonquin Park, which is where he spent many summers.

Don was a kind, gentle and caring man who was always eager to help others. He loved to talk to strangers, even though he could be a little shy. He was an amazing father, who loved spending time with his daughters, and wanted to be included in every adventure. We will always remember his huge heart, loving smile and sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Don was predeceased by his father Victor, mother Marion and brother Glenn. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation, in Don’s name. Arrangements entrusted to Penetanguishene Funeral Home.
