Peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family, Bernie Sauve passed away on Wednesday July 1st in his 78th year. Loving Husband to Mary-Lu for 53 years. Father to Michelle (Scott), Nicole (Rob), Andre, Rene (Cheryl) and Jean-Paul. Gramps to Ryan, Kaitlyn, Riley, Tyler, Sara, Keagan, Sophia, Cameron, Jacob and Makenna. GG to Ira. Survived by siblings Sister Grace CSJ, Joe and Jim (Maureen). Pre-deceased by his parents, Lloyd and Kay, siblings Mary, Patti, Bobby, Donnie, Carole, Tony, Paul and son-in-law JR. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and multitude of friends he has touched along the way. Bernie was involved in many organizations during his lifetime and always gave of himself to others in everything he did. His wit and humour is already sorely missed. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care he received in his final days from Bayshore, and Care Partners. Special thanks to nurse Nicole and nurse practitioner Lisa. Cremation has taken place. Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, a Celebration of Life will occur when safe to do so at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Bernie would be greatly appreciated.
