Drummond was a pillar of support to his family and believed that we are only as strong as the community of which we are a part. He worked towards this ideal wherever he lived, both through his professional services during his career, and through his volunteer and charity efforts after he retired. He contributed formally through donations of time and financial support, and spontaneously when he saw someone in need. He was active in his community support right up until his death, his latest project being to lead a proposal to have Christmas lights displayed in Little Lake Park for everyone to enjoy.

Special thanks to all the caring and compassionate medical staff at the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) who over the years provided Drummond with warm and compassionate care. A special thank you to Dr. Bruno Golisky, Dr. Ty Hervieux, and the medical staff at the emergency ward at GBGH. Also a special thanks to Matt and Art from ProResp, the wonderful staff at the Midland Bank of Nova Scotia, and the many other people who made Drummond’s daily life a pleasure.
