Aka “Big Guy” “Baby bro” “Handsome” “Daddy” and most proud title “Papa”

June 7th 1960- May 9th 2022

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our father, David LeBlanc. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 20 years Janet Fairhall. A very proud father to his 3 daughters Lindsay Woolley (Dave) Crystal Riseborough (Brad) and Kelly Maurice (Kyle). Papa will be missed dearly by his 8 grandchildren Hannah, Logan, Sidney, Shanti; Avery, Parker; Sage and Bodhi.

Dave lived his 61 years with an amazing sense of humour, love and immense kindness that never waivered, even in his final days. He was a very humble man who will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his absolute love for his family, friends, music and hockey- Go Habs Go!

No matter what he had going on “behind the scenes”, Dad always put everyone before himself. There are some people in the world that just make you want to be a better person and he was one of those people. One of Dad’s greatest accomplishments was getting people to smile and laugh! He always saw each day as an absolute gift. Being by his side until his final breath gave us a true understanding of his desire to live every moment with happiness over sorrow or anger, trying to continue our full belly laughs in hopes he could hear us still enjoying his company. We will miss his continuous smile, singing, air guitars and his infamous mischievous giggle. The world will never be the same without him in it. With the wonderful lessons he has taught us about how to love and laugh, we will continue to carry him always in our hearts. Our father was truly the greatest Dad in the world. He was always so proud of everything we have ever done. We will strive to continue that in life until we can hug him once again. Until then - We know what to do Dad!! He was, and is, a true angel. Love you always!

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Dave’s name to Canadian Liver Foundation online through their website or Hospice Huronia - Tomkins House online through their website or in person at 948 Fuller Ave.

We would like to send our thanks to the staff at GBGH, especially his nurses Kim and Halley. Thank you both for your kindness and your ability to go above and beyond in your job. He often would refer to your kind spirits and reference the jokes you all shared. You put a smile on his face and happiness in our hearts knowing he was in good hands.
Also a special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Tomkin House for the care and support for Dad in his final days. The compassion you showed down to the tiniest of details was done with such kindness and love that helped comfort our Dad and all of us. This is something we will always be grateful for. He said coming to stay at Tompkin House was a great decision and it eased our hearts knowing he would be surrounded by such caring and loving people.
