Brian was a wandering woodsman. He was most at home in nature, exploring the forests and fields beyond his hand-built cabin in Wyebridge. He felt a deep connection with the land and created gardens and structures with natural materials in celebration of the spirit of nature. A campfire was his invitation to share stories of mysterious lights in the evening sky. His gentleness and curiosity about the deeper meaning of things was cherished by his family and friends. He was a sensitive soul who aimed to watch over his parents who lived nearby. He talked about life with his father on trips into town. He often stopped by in the evening just to say, Love you mom. Brian always enjoyed visiting with his brother, James. Brian and his sister, Tammy (Elizabeth), had a heartfelt connection and enjoyed talking together about spirituality. His daughter, Sierra, was his shining star. The thought of her made him strive to be the best father he could be. His fiancé, Tanya, and his step-sons, Brandon and Nate, were his dear companions when he returned from the woods. The loss of Brian’s physical presence is deeply felt by the many who love him. However, his beautiful spirit lives on in the trees, flowers and rocks that gave meaning to his life. Brian is forever in our hearts. May our beloved son, brother, father, partner and friend be at peace in mind, body and spirit now. May his spirit continue to wander in the beautiful landscape of Georgian Bay, and may we feel his presence there, too. Place a rock or a pile of rocks in a beautiful location in nature in honour of Brian and the blessing he was to your life. He would really like that.
