With profound sadness we announce the passing of Jeannette Alecia Jones-Janas peacefully at home with her devoted husband Reinhold Janas by her side.

Jeannette leaves behind her children Tracey Jones (Neil) and Lee-Ann Jones, Carina Janas (Tim) and Dirk Janas (Melinda).

Her beloved Siblings; Maple Pinnock (Debbie), Anna Morrison (Everald), David Gray (Wanda), Margaret Gray, Sandra Philip Rousseau, Sharon Eng (Kim), Ruth Marcano (Marlon), Barry Gardner
Aunts; Verna Cole, Valda Curney and Dolcie Hewitt, 20 nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren, and countless cousins and foster children.

Predeceased by her parents Murdel Gray and James Pinnock and her late husband Dillon Jones.

Jeannie as she was affectionately known was a woman of many, many talents. From being a renowned soloist in Jamaica and Ontario, Canada, furniture builder, dressmaker, gardener, florist and master chef just to name a few.

She was a social butterfly who touched so many lives with a big heart that could only be matched by her beautiful smile.
A phenomenal woman of God, her strength knew no boundaries. Even during her second battle with cancer, wracked with pain she would often say to her loved ones “Don’t cry, just pray!”
This is a huge loss for all who knew and loved her. Please take comfort in knowing she no longer suffers and now rests eternally with her Lord and Saviour.

Per Jeannette's wishes to be cremated, there will be no viewing or burial.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22 , 12 p.m at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 265 Coldwater Road West, Orillia.  A reception will be held afterwards and details to be provided the day of.
