“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts”.

It is with gratitude for a long life lived that the family of Nancy (Agnes) Cook announce her passing on June 27 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Thomas and her grandson Brennan.

Nancy was the loving mother of Meryl Cook (John Lam), Nancy McCartney (Shaun McCartney) and Alan Cook (Christa Brown). She was the adoring Nana of Keegan (Lanny), Nathaniel (Nicole), Tobias (Alicia), Hayden (Kait), Elijah and Chloe along with many others who called her Nana.

Nancy, a kind and gentle woman, was an avid rug hooker and a longtime member of the Georgetown Rughooking Guild. She loved to travel and do crafts, and was always up for an adventure going for a tube ride, snowmobiling and ATVing in her senior years. She taught her family that if you wanted to do something, to find a book and figure it out. She was always ready to play family games and cards and join in the fun.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hillcrest Village LTC in Midland for the kind and compassionate care that Nancy received.

Nancy’s immediate family is spread across Canada. Cremation has taken place. A private internment at the Midhurst Union Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Nancy (Nana) to the Huronia Transition Homes would be appreciated by the family and can be made by using the link…
