CHAPMAN, Mary

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Chapman (nee LeClair) passed away peacefully on Sunday January 16, 2022 at the age of 80. She was born September 18,1941 in Midland Ontario. Beloved mother of Linda Dyson (Ted), Tim (Cathy), and Kara Stonebridge (John). She was a devoted grandmother to Brittany, Kady, Mitchell, Trevor, Carly, Christine, Jennifer, Samantha, Ben and Joe. She will also be lovingly remembered by many great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly but will live on in the hearts of generations. Predeceased by parents Willard and Marie LeClair, brothers Bill (survived by Rita), Stan (survived by Leona), Pat (the late Jackie), Don (survived by Vivette) and her sister Anita Roberts (the late Pat). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary had such a loving nature and heart of gold, that all that knew her loved her. She retired from Chrysler Ontario which she had made many lifelong friends. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories. Thank you to all the staff at Owen Hill Community Care in Barrie for the wonderful care given to Mary throughout her illness. A small private family service will be held at Thornton Funeral Centre 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited and masks are mandatory.
