It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Cascanette at Georgian Bay General Hospital on January 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 73 years Bernadette Cascanette (nee Cadeau). Cherished father of Roy, Sally (Willard) Gerry and predeceased by son, Kevin. Cherished papa to Troy, Candice, Brittney, Celine, Justin, Robin, Jody and the late Jamie. Great grandpapa to Ciara, Liam, Wren, Ryette and Haven. He will also be missed by his four-legged friend, Buddy. One of Raymond’s greatest joys was driving his taxi boat on Georgian Bay in the Honey Harbour area for many years. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his family in the Burrows Lake, Big Shute area.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Doctors and nurses at GBGH for Raymond’s wonderful care. Cremation has taken place. No service or celebration of life as per his request. Donations in Ray’s memory to the Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
