Fans flock to see Maple Leafs in Gravenhurst (6 photos)

The team wrapped up a two-day mini camp Thursday and are now preparing in earnest for the start of the NHL season

The Toronto Maple Leafs took their talents to Gravenhurst, travelling to cottage country for a mini-camp getaway for the second consecutive season.

The team enjoyed golfing at Muskoka Bay Resort followed by a team dinner at Oar and Paddle Restaurant.

The players — both veterans and NHL hopefuls — took to the ice for two tough practice sessions Wednesday and Thursday, showing off their skills to local students and fans who filled the Graeme Murray Arena in Gravenhurst during both sessions.

The Leafs headed back to Toronto shortly after 3 p.m. in preparation for a home-and-home pre-season matchup versus the Detroit Red Wings.

The Leafs' regular season kicks off on Oct. 12 in Montreal.
