The Burton Mystery Series Tour will make a stop at Snow Valley Ski Resort on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Snow Valley will be buzzing with activity this weekend as the Burton Mystery Series makes a stop at the local ski hill.

The local event, one of only two Canadian stops on the tour, is being touted as an “inclusive banked slalom event series that aims to build a more accessible snowboard community for all ages and abilities.”

The tour will make its only Ontario stop at Snow Valley Ski Resort, located approximately 15 minutes from Barrie, on Saturday, Jan. 14 and will feature demonstrations by Team Burton riders Kody Williams and Mikey Ciccarelli, as well as product giveaways, athlete demos, a barbecue and “après”  hangouts.

The resort will also provide discounted lift tickets to anyone who has registered for the banked slalom that day.

Registration is slated to open at 8:30 a.m. and run until 10 a.m. with rider practices beginning at 9:30 a.m. First runs are set to start at 11 a.m.

The afternoon will include second runs beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by an after-party at 3 p.m. and awards and giveaways at 4 p.m.
