Grab the kids and make history on Family Day by taking part in the World’s Largest Virtual Cooking Class. The Chef Upstairs in partnership with EJSE Studio will be hosting a family-friendly virtual cooking class at 5 p.m. ET on Feb. 15, 2021.

The event is free to all and people must register in advance on the Eventbrite link below. Comedian, actor and host of The Food Network’s Big Food Bucket List, John Catucci, will host the event, and Chef Julian Pancer of The Chef Upstairs will lead participants through the cooking class as they make Gnocchi Pomodoro, an easy homemade pasta with tomato sauce that is also inexpensive so anyone can take part.

The event is free to all but if people wish, they can donate to Daily Bread Food Bank.

“We wanted to create a fun activity that everyone can take part in on Family Day, while supporting Daily Bread Food Bank,” says Chef Julian. “We’re also going to make history on Feb. 15 because no one currently holds the record for the Largest Virtual Cooking Class, so we’re going for it.”

The event will be produced by Newmarket's Teresa Kruze from Impakt Productions Inc. and the logistics and production will be handled by EJSE Studio.

“We have been handling large-scale virtual events throughout the pandemic,” says Elliot Kravetz, who owns EJSE Studio in Vaughan with Terry Holdershaw. “We will be ready for hundreds or thousands of people to take part on Feb. 15. The equipment and staging are in place to record and broadcast this historic event”.

The World’s Largest Virtual Cooking Class will feature entertainment and excitement along with the fun of making history while everyone cooks dinner together.
