VILLAGE VIDEO: 'I'm going to f***ing vomit' un-muted Alberta councillor tells Zoom meeting

What not to do on a Zoom meeting

WARNING: The above video contains profanity

It seems like these days everybody's using Zoom or some other video conferencing app to keep in touch without having to actually assemble in the same room.

And, while it's a fairly easy process to get on a call, there are a few basic things you need to quickly master. One of those things is knowing when you're muted and when the entire meeting can hear every word you're saying.

One St. Albert, Alta. city councillor learned that particular lesson the hard way on Tuesday when that city held its very first all-digital council meeting on Zoom.

As you'll see in the clip above (which comes from the city's recording of the meeting), it could have gone better.

The councillor in question has since apologized.

In the coming weeks, Village Media will be running a series of videos meant to enlighten and/or entertain you while we all go through this period of COVID-19 isolation. We hope you enjoy!
