The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) offers a variety of inclusive social and recreational programs for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Beginning in May, the SCDSB is offering a Coding and Robotics Virtual Club. The five-week program will focus on providing students with ASD an opportunity to engage in social interactions and build friendships through a shared interest in computers, coding and robotics. This program will run on Mondays from May 10 to June 14.

Parents/guardians are an important part of the program and will receive resources and support to help the children develop and practice new skills at home and at school.

Limited spaces are available. Please complete the initial application form by April 30, 2021 using the following link: www.scdsb.on.ca/inclusiverecreationprograms.

This does not guarantee enrolment in the program. You may be contacted for an initial telephone consultation to assess if the program is appropriate for your child.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB’s Strategic Priorities under the pillar of excellence in teaching and learning.
