Since starting the popular A Day in the Life series, Fred Hacker has interviewed some very prominent Canadians and well-loved personalities.

But never before, has he sat down and chatted with anyone so universally adored as his very special guest this Saturday at the Midland Cultural Centre.

Whether you call him Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Santy, or simply Santa, the man known for his jolly “HoHoHo” will be sitting down for an intimate conversation with Hacker at 10 a.m. and then again at 2 p.m.

The pair are expected to talk about Santa’s elves, his reindeer, Mrs. Claus, the North Pole, his workshop and, of course, his preparations for Christmas Eve and how it’s possible for him to visit so many boys and girls.

Forty-five minutes prior to each 30-minute chat between Hacker and the Jolly Old Elf, children will have the opportunity to create their very own Christmas cards and write a letter to Santa with Quest Art in the Atrium.

Following the interview portion, children will be able to go on stage to drop off their Christmas wish-list into Santa's mailbox and meet the big man for a photo.

Admission for this event is free, thanks to the sponsorship of Midland Rotary Club.

All attendees including children must wear a mask, and anyone 12 and older must show proof of double vaccination and ID when entering the building.
