TROUBADOUR FESTIVAL
*************************
Bachman & Bachman (legendary rocker Randy Bachman and his son, singer/songwriter Tal Bachman), singer/songwriter and Latin Grammy winner Alex Cuba, and soul stylist Tanika Charles will be performing in front of a small audience in Barrie on Saturday, Dec. 11 at this year’s scaled-back Troubadour Festival.

The festival, presented annually in September in Barrie had to take a pause in 2020 due to the pandemic. But in 2021 the festival is presenting a modified, one-night version of the festival on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Burton Avenue United Church, featuring these incredible music artists in a live and intimate setting.

Bachman & Bachman is the father-son duo of Randy and Tal Bachman. The two Bachmans have a new album that they created over the past two years, telling the tale of two lives, titled Shadows of Yesterday. Produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joy, Brandi Carlile), it departs from the past success of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Tal's solo success.

Randy Bachman is a legendary figure in the music world through his talents as a guitarist, songwriter, performer, record producer and mentor. As founder of two formidable rock bands, The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Randy has accrued over 120 platinum, gold and silver album/singles awards from around the world.

Alex Cuba’s music at once incorporates his Cuban roots and is a unique amalgam of styles, having collaborated with artists ranging from Jason Mraz to Nelly Furtado; and bringing together melodies, pop-soul hooks and rock chords in songs that may seem to bear little resemblance to traditional Cuban form. A forward-thinking, indie-minded artist, Alex has amassed a steadily growing following among critics and fans. With over 20 awards and nominations to his name, including four Latin Grammys, two Junos Awards and three Grammy nominations.

Tanika Charles is formerly known as the best-kept secret in soul music, but now the Toronto-based singer Tanika Charles has become a staple of the scene both at home and abroad. The two-time Juno Award nominated and two-time Polaris Prize long-listed singer continues to win audiences over one stream, one Shazam, and one encore at a time.

Tickets are general admission and are currently on sale at troubadourfestival.ca.

There will be no food available. Bottled water will be served.

Seating is limited. The concert will be filmed and then streamed on-line in January.
