Food and politics can sometimes go together.
To that end, the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting a unique event next Wednesday at Rooted Café on King Street.
The Midland mayoralty race taste test challenge will feature those running for the town’s top position trying to determine the difference between local homemade products versus those featuring major brand names.
The mayoral candidates will face off by trying chili, meatless meatballs, Caesar salad and cheesecake during the event, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m.
