The Rotary Club of Midland is hosting its ‘Random Acts of Kindness Day” Wednesday.

Now in its 10th year, the day serves to encourage residents to do something nice for another person by paying a kindness forward. Acts could be as simple as opening a door or helping someone in a small way.

As their way of paying it forward, club members will host a free lunch for anyone who visits the town dock Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by musician Marlon Gibbons.

“All we ask is that all who attend - pay it forward with a good deed,” the club noted, adding that members will be distributing ‘RAK'D’ cards to people when they show up reminding them to pay it forward with even the smallest deed.
